You Join, We Donate
We have been committed to our social and environmental responsibilities for a long time.
Tamara volunteers her time to write articles for a charity concerned with environmental and animal protection of endangered species.
She has also volunteered her time to write and edit for a charity that helps with pre- and post-natal care for indigent mothers and children in India.
David writes about environmental matters and we both try to keep our ears to the ground to spread the word about under-reported threats to the environment.
So our charity policy is simple: You join and we pledge to donate not less than five per cent of our profit to charities we support.
These include charities that tackle poverty and illiteracy; climate change and pollution; the threats facing wildlife worldwide; and the inhumane treatment of wildlife and farm animals.
High on our list of concerns at the moment are:
- overfishing and the senseless and destructive use of giant trawl nets that scrape the ocean floor;
- the effect of pesticides in causing Colony Collapse Disorder in honeybees;
- the 'zero grazing' policy of livestock management;
- the plight of animal species - work animals, farm animals, and wild animals - worldwide.
