Guinea Pigs Top The Charts

As you might guess, animal images are always popular subjects for our ecards – and our guinea pig images are perennial favorites. In fact, we could devote a whole category to these little animals, they are so popular.

Equally popular is another guinea pig – our own dear guinea pig named Spiffy.

In fact, if you put ‘long-haired guinea pig’ into Google ‘image’ search, you will find Spiffy there on the first or second row.

Click that image and it will lead you straight to our article about Beatrix Potter’s Affable Animals that is searched for and found by people every day, two years on from when Tamara wrote the article.

We have been trying to find time to take more guinea pig photos, and we have decided that 2012 is the year to bring that wish to fruition. So if you are a guinea pig aficionado – watch this space!

The ‘Suprisingly Popular’ Category

In the ‘surprisingly popular’ category there is, for example, this image of Bath Abbey. It features as an ecard and in our article about the Abbey and has attracted a lot of attention.

The Forth Rail Bridge

A comparatively recent image that has been ‘found’ a large number of times is this ecard image of the Forth Rail Bridge that we also used in an article about the history of the bridge.

The Pear Grabs The Limelight

And this photograph of a pear has been ‘found’ a lot too. It is an ecard image and has also appeared in our article about chiaroscuro or Rembrandt Lighting In Photography.

Cherry Blossom

And finally, this image of cherry blossom has been very popular with our members, and we also used it in this article about Tea From The East To The West that has received a lot of interest.

From Our Articles

Apart from our popular ecard images, there were one or two that appeared in our articles but which we never made into ecards.

For example, we did not make an ecard from this image of an unfortunate fiance, but we did use the image to illustrate the article on the history of breach of promise.

The reason we didn’t make an ecard from the image is that we use original images that we have taken ourselves for our ecards, and an ‘image of a postcard’ doesn’t really fit into that idea.

Although we wrote the article about breach of promise in 2009, we still get ‘hits’ almost every day from people wanting to know more about the subject. And many people find the article via the image.

The Feather And The Inkwell

One of our favorite images is of a quill in an inkwell and we are predicting that it is going to be a hit in 2012.

There is a reason for that: Look out for this image appearing on some of our new products later in the year.
